What I have Learned about Myself as a Writer this Year

What I have learned this year about myself as a writer is that I start out with some crazy ideas. The first thing I have to do is to think about what I want to write. Another thing I have learned about myself is that I need to use the Grammarly tool on my computer to make certain I use commas correctly. I am a good editor of misplaced or even mistyped or misspelled words. I often make mistakes with commas and comma splices, so Grammarly helps me correct those errors.

Another thing I realized this year is that it is ok to write the way that is best for me. I like printing my work to evaluate and correct it, and that is ok to do. I am not fast. I am a very slow writer. I also get nervous and worried when I am writing for a grade, and that slows me down even more. If I write trying to think about what I want to say instead of worrying what grade I will make I do better work. I have learned a lot this year about how to be a good writer and how that applies to me. I hope to get less nervous writing and to become a better writer moving forward.
